This week, Marc-André Fleury’s famous mask was the talk of the town. For those who haven’t been following the story, the Quebecer had a mask made to honor his wife’s aboriginal roots.
Fleury wanted to wear it, but the NHL wouldn’t let him (even for warm-ups).
As we know, the goalie eventually decided to wear the mask despite the NHL’s disagreement.
To this day, I can’t understand why this magnificent mask wasn’t unanimously accepted by the NHL…
