Calm, the popular meditation and relaxation app, is partnering with Spotify to offer content through the streaming service, including Camila Cabello’s meditative ‘Breathe Into It’ sessions.
Popular relaxation and meditation app Calm has teamed up with Spotify to offer content through the audio streaming service. Select Calm meditations and other popular content will be available alongside existing podcasts on Spotify as part of Spotify Open Access, an initiative started in 2021 to allow companies to offer paid content on Spotify at different subscriber tiers.
Calm provides a sampling of its different offerings through Spotify, with eleven of the meditation app’s series now available, specially curated to support mental wellness by helping improve sleep, reducing stress and anxiety, and building mindfulness habits.
Calm for Sleep (featuring Sleep Stories with narrations by Harry Styles, Jennifer Garner, Wanda Sykes, and other celebrities), Calm for Stress & Anxiety, Calm for Meditation, Calm for Beginners, Calm for Kids, and episodes of Daily Mindfulness featuring voices like Jay Shetty, Mel Mah, and Tamara Levitt, are available now.
Camila Cabello’s popular Breathe Into It sessions are also featured, in which the singer discusses how she found peace and positivity amid struggles with social media and setting boundaries. The “Havana” singer has often cited meditation as a helpful practice in her daily life.
Notably, while some of the content is free for Spotify users, others require a Calm account with either a free trial or a subscription. Free 30-day trials are available, while a Calm Premium membership is $14.99 per month or $69.99 annually.
Calm boasts of having over 100 million downloads as of October 2022, with more than four million paying subscribers, but with a range of competition from services like Headspace and InsightTimer, partnerships with companies like Spotify will help elevate Calm’s potential reach to continue growing its user base.
