Megan Fox is sharing her personal struggles with love, lust and heartbreak like never before.
In her debut collection of poems, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” out now, the actress gives fans a glimpse inside her most private, dark thoughts, calling herself a “hopelessly romantic open wound of a human” and a “ransom for the soul of whichever beautiful, broken, self-absorbed idiot” is “hunting” her down and “draining” her of her life force.
“These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence. I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins,” the “Jennifer’s Body” star explained in a statement.
“My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness.”

While Fox doesn’t mention any of her past or present lovers by name, many of the poems seem to be written about fiancé Machine Gun Kelly and inspired by the ups and downs they’ve faced since coupling up in May 2020.
Various passages in the book reference a “32-year-old narcissist,” the author’s “true love, twin flame” and a “complacent rock star” pretending to have “good” intentions.
“You are an addiction that no amount of prayers will ever cure,” one poem, titled “A beautiful boy is a deadly drug,” reads, seemingly a callback to the “Achingly Beautiful Boy” caption Fox used to declare her love for MGK via Instagram in August 2020.
“You are killing me but my heart won’t give you up.”

Fox previously called MGK an “Achingly Beautiful Boy” in an Instagram post declaring her love for the rocker.
MGK, 33, proposed to Fox, 37, in January 2022, with the two continuing to flaunt their whirlwind romance with heavy PDA on social media and at red carpet events.
The lovebirds sparked breakup rumors in February 2023 when the actress wiped all pics of MGK from her Instagram – and temporarily deactivated her account – following a reported argument that went down during Super Bowl LVII weekend in Arizona. Just days later, however, the famous self-proclaimed “twin flames” reportedly reconciled and have been going strong ever since.
“But then one day it happened. One of said idiots finally broke me,” Fox writes in part in the foreword of her book, seemingly alluding to the recent split rumors.
“And from me poured these poems featuring previously unspoken feelings of… isolation, torment, self-harm, desperation, longing, restlessness, rage, and general anguish.”

Meanwhile, the last two poems, titled “I” and “II,” allude to feeling grief over a heartbreaking miscarriage.
“There is an ultrasound by your side of the bed, 10 weeks and 1 day … do you think that if she could have, she would have left a suicide note?” the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” alum writes in part.
“But now I have to say goodbye. I close my eyes and imagine holding you tight against my chest as they rip you from my insides,” she continues, with an illustration of a woman holding a baby appearing on the book’s final page. “I will pay any price, tell me please, what is the ransom for her soul?”
In her last two poems, Fox writes about the grief ones feels after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage.
Fox and MGK (real name: Colson Baker) have never confirmed or denied reports of a previous miscarriage in an official on-the-record statement.
Fans first speculated that the two may have gone through the tumultuous experience after the rocker dropped a track titled “Twin Flame” on his “Mainstream Sellout” album in March 2022.
“Go to sleep / I’ll see you in my dreams,” MGK sings on the song, which features the sound of a heartbeat around the 2:50 mark. “This changes everything / Now I have to set you free.”
MGK fueled the speculation months later when he performed the pop-punk ballad at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. “I wrote this song for my wife … this is for our unborn child,” he told the crowd, with many fans on social media interpreting his words as confirmation.

Reps for the couple did not return Page Six’s requests for comment at the time.
Fox shares three children – Noah, Bodhi and Journey – with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, whom she was married to from 2010 to 2022. She was also previously linked to former “Transformers” co-star Shia LaBeouf, “7th Heaven” alum David Gallagher and high school sweetheart Ben Leahy.
“Relationships are not pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes they are a war,” Fox told People in an interview promoting her book. “But through a wound enters an opportunity to grow and become a stronger more whole version of yourself.”
