Being a fresher at an overworking company seemed stressful at first, but with the help of a cute senpai like Shiori, Shinozaki eases through the first day and even ends with a tasty dinner with her. Building contacts with all his coworkers, he is welcomed into the company.
Shiori has dedicated her entire day to being a good senpai since she considers that her duty working there for three years. Meanwhile, he cannot stop picturing her as a small cat with all her mannerisms.

Shinozaki is attracted to Shiori, but the question remains whether it is purely an amused attraction as you would have to a cat or whether it is romantic. Regardless, we can expect more exciting situations that make them look like a couple in the next episode.
While Shinozaki had assumed she would never return his feelings, she was flustered when he gave her his coat. It is apparent just by looking at them that something is brewing, and Hayakawa and the others have also begun noticing.
We may see a confrontation next episode from Hayakawa or the boss, but it may be targeted towards the aloof Katase since she is the senior.

3. Recap of Episode 1
A very short lady walks into the office, barging into Shinozaki’s room, where he stands over twice his height. Katase Shiori has been working at the company for three years now, while Shinozaki is just a newbie and constantly praises his work and helps him throughout.
The amount of desk work she’s been doing starts taking a toll on his back, and Shinozaki also feels the same pain. The situation leads to her giving him a shoulder massage in an attempt to be a helpful senior, but he gets extremely flustered.
During the lunch break, Shinozaki practices his presentation in the break room, and Katase comes to help him out and has him relax his nerves. Later during the day, he organizes a meeting with everyone else after work and banters with his childhood friend, Hayakawa.
Seeing their chemistry prompts Katase to start asking about the two of them, which he misunderstands as a sign that she might like him back too. However, he soon finds out that it was just Hayakawa she wanted to get close to since she isn’t the friendly kind.
Katase wants Shinozaki to tell him whenever he has finished some work, mainly if he has performed well since a senpai must praise their coworkers. She continues to prove her hospitality by bringing him a drink later while he works overtime and even helps him finish quickly.
Since it has already been pretty late, they head to a restaurant to get dinner, and Shinozaki lends her his coat since she seems cold, making her mind wander. Getting too flustered, she hands him the coat back when they get to the restaurant.
They order their food while going over their first day, and Shinozaki also expresses his thanks for everything she has done for him throughout the day. The following day he runs into her calling out to a cat and starts teasing her by meowing back, and some of the other coworkers notice it too.

My Tiny Senpai is a Summer 2023 anime by Studio project No.9. It is inspired by a manga series by the same name that is authored and illustrated by Saisō. The anime was first announced in Fall 2022 and premiered in July 2023.
Shinozaki, an office worker, has just received a new job offer, but work turns out to be very tough. He struggles at his workplace until a very strict yet cute senpai takes him under her wing. Katase knows the ins and outs of the job, but Shinozaki hopes that his senpai will pay him more attention outside of work matters too.
