NewJeans have enlisted Pharrell Williams for a new song, “Supernatural.” Drawing from Williams’ production on Manami’s 2009 song “Back of My Mind,” the song includes original composition and lyrics from the Neptunes man. It comes as part of a “double album single” also featuring “Right Now,” which came with a Takashi Murakami–directed video, and a couple of remixes. Watch the “Supernatural” video below.
The new release comes with a capsule of apparel and accessories designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara. Last month, the group released another four-track single called How Sweet, the original compositions being the title track and “Bubble Gum.” NewJeans’ breakout single “Super Shy” was one of Pitchfork’s “100 Best Songs of 2023.”
