Popular singer Nicki Minaj has been arrested in Amsterdam in the Netherlands over possession of drugs.
Minaj was arrested at the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, according to a statement from the Dutch National Police.
Minaj’s crime was apparently having some drugs in her bag which she claims officials took without her consent.
Nicki took to social media to cry out about being arrested and she was let go soon after.
“After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey,” Dutch police posted on X.
Nicki Minaj addressed the incident in several posts on social media, writing in one the drugs belonged to her security officer.
She wrote: “…They said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down,” she wrote.
