Seyi Vibez’s career

Seyi Vibes made his debut in 2019 with the single, Anybody. His breakthrough came in 2021 with the release of Godsent, coinciding with his debut studio album, No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV).  What sets him apart is his decision not to join any music record label, opting for independent distribution through DAPPER Distribution and Records.

Following this, he launched his second studio album, Billion Dollar Baby, accompanied by the mixtape Billion Dollar Baby 2.0 in 2022. The album reached the top spot on the “Turntable 50 Albums chart” and fans discovered a switch in his style. This time, he focused more on the South African trendy Amapiano wave but he twitched his own a little, infusing local local Nigerian music genres like Fuji and Apala, which made his sound more unique. The album found extreme success, going on to amass 50 million Audiomack streams within two days.

In January 2023, Vibez unveiled his five-track debut extended play, Memory Card, featuring American rapper YXNG K.A. Within the first week, the EP garnered over 6.30 million streams, dominating the “Turntable Top 10 charts” and was recognised by Pan African Music among the 10 best albums of January 2023.

In August 2023, he dropped ”Jajoo” and collaborated with Kizz Daniel on a song.

In August 2023, Seyi Vibez was appointed as the brand ambassador for Cardtonic, a leading gift card exchange platform in Nigeria and Ghana. September 2023 marked another milestone for Vibez as he clinched the “Best Street-Hop Artiste” award with his track, Chance (Na Ham), at the 16th Headies Award.

Seyi Vibez’s popularity soared internationally, with his songs reaching charts like the UK Afrobeats singles chart and the TurnTable Top 100 chart.

In 2023, Seyi Vibez found himself entangled in a feud with fellow Nigerian artist, Zinoleesky. The dispute between the two musicians escalated as they took to social media to exchange words and voice their grievances. The disagreement began with Zinoleesky advising Seyi Vibez to return to his previous musical style and offering suggestions for studio improvements.

Seyi Vibez, in response, urged Zinoleesky to refrain from speaking until he could afford a new house, referencing Zinoleesky’s recent property challenges.

The public clash between Zinoleesky and Vibez has garnered significant attention within the music industry and among their respective fan bases. Many fans and followers shared their opinions and speculated about the possible motivations behind the feud.
