Seventy years after its inaugural edition, the Newport Jazz Festival is back for a weekend in Rhode Island this summer. Performing at the festival, which takes place from August 2 to 4 at Fort Adams State Park, are André 3000, Kamasi Washington, Laufey, Elvis Costello, Brittany Howard, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Meshell Ndegeocello, Makaya McCraven, Kassa Overall, Samara Joy, Robert Glasper, Shabaka, PJ Morton, Noname, Amaro Freitas, and many others. André 3000 is continuing to perform in support of his surprise debut solo album, New Blue Sun. The acclaimed Outkast musician has additional performances coming up at Roots Picnic, Atlanta Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and more.
