The Overwatch League 2023 has been running in a bit of a different format but we’re finally getting close to the next big LAN of the season. The OWL 2023 Grand Finals have been fully unveiled and we now know when we can expect the season to wrap up, most importantly though we’ll find out who the strongest Overwatch team in the 2023 season is.
The Grand Finals this year are only one of two major LANs, as the League seems quite a bit smaller than in past years. Hopefully, Blizzard is pulling out all the stops for the finale though. There are already a few big changes to how things work. For a start, we’re getting the first Championship LAN to take place outside of the US, with the OWL Finals 2023 going down in Canada.

OWL Finals 2023 Details Announced
This year the OWL Finals 2023 are going to be taking place in Canada. They’re also running a tad earlier than normal. The whole event will kick off on September 28th, with the finals running through to September 28th.
The final LAN is going to be held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. This is the home stadium for Toronto Defiant who are hosting the grand Finals this year. Typically, the LANs have taken place in the US, but this stadium was the location for the 2022 Summer Showdown too.

The Overwatch League might not have been going for too long yet this season. We’re actually already in the lead-up to the Grand Finals! The tournament is running with a bit of a truncated schedule this year. We’ll soon start to see how teams are placing for the playoffs and eventually the Grand Final.
The League’s Summer Stage, the second regular season period, is set to start very soon. It’s these matches that will decide the seeding for the play-ins and the playoffs. It’s been an unpredictable year for OW. If you’re looking at OW betting for the final, these matches are going to be important for seeing where all the teams stand at the moment.
