Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s baby boy has made his Instagram debut.
“Rio John Chmerkovskiy 💙,” the Australian professional dancer, 36, wrote on Instagram Wednesday alongside an image of their son, who was born on June 18.
“We are overjoyed to share our baby boy with all of you,” she continued, adding their 6-year-old son, Shai “is already the best big brother and we all feel very complete 🥹.”
Murgatroyd concluded, “Life is good XO.”
In the image, Rio comfortably laid on a white comforter while wearing a nude onesie and matching beanie. He also had a nude-colored pacifier in his mouth.
Next to the infant was a circle-shaped board that read, “Rio John.”

Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy’s newborn was sent love from several stars, including Rumer Willis, who commented, “Hi sweet boy. I love you already.”
“He’s perfect ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” added Jessie James Decker, while Cynthia Bailey simply wrote, “❤️.”

Before Murgatroyd’s pregnancy, the couple had been very open about the difficulty they faced while trying to conceive another child.

“I was sitting in the bathroom sobbing,” she recalled to People last June. “That was something that will probably live with me for the rest of my life, being on that toilet by myself, knowing what was happening and not being able to stop it.”
She then disclosed that she had two other miscarriages, confessing she felt “ashamed” and “embarrassed” at the time.
Chmerkovskiy, for his part, told the magazine that he was “really upset” by the losses.

“I never thought that two healthy, athletic people could be in a predicament like this,” the Ukrainian dancer shared. “It’s a lot to process.”
The couple began to feel optimistic about conceiving again after speaking to a fertility specialist.
That same month, Murgatroyd, who had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, underwent an egg retrieval to begin the IVF process, followed by an embryo transfer two months later.
