Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, the stars of the 1988 comedy “Twins,” had a reunion the other day in a photo that the former California Governor shared on social media.
Schwarzenegger attended the final week of DeVito’s Broadway play “I Need That” which stars DeVito and his daughter Lucy and which wraps its run tomorrow night.
The official site calls it a”hilarious and human play about life’s messes”. In his Instagram posting, Schwarzenegger wrote in the caption:
“My brother!. It was fantastic to see Danny on Broadway in I Need That. He and Lucy and everybody involved kept the audience entertained, laughing and loving every minute – one of the best plays I’ve ever seen, a true spectacle with heart!! I can’t wait to work together again.”
Both actors starred in Ivan Reitman’s iconic 1988 comedy “Twins” as genetically engineered siblings who don’t meet until adulthood before going on a road trip to find the truth of their heritage.
The two have long been attached to a sequel titled “Triplets” until Reitman’s passing in 2022 seemingly ended that chance, with DeVito shooting down a possibility while speaking with GQ last month.
At the time he added that the pair had a “little project that we’ve been chatting about” which has nothing to do with “Twins”.
