Ghanaian music superstar, Kofi Kinaata has stated that it is better to have a potbelly than to die from hunger after he was busted eating at 2 a.m.
Kinaata was busted having a full meal at 2 a.m. – a time when most people are supposed to be asleep – after suffering a bout of the infamous ‘nkiti nkiti’.
‘Nkiti nkiti’, or the munchies, refer to a sudden, strong desire for food that is almost impossible to resist.
It can happen at anytime but is most dangerous when it happens in the middle of the night when there is a strong risk of no food being around.
Luckily for Kofi, he had a full meal at his disposal and he wasted no time in enjoying it despite the ungodly hour.
Explaining how he ended up with the munchies, Kinaata said he felt hungry around 9 p.m. but since he’s watching his diet he decided against eating and hoped he could sleep it off.
However, he had to abandon his mission when the ‘nkiti nkiti’ grabbed him.
Kinaata simply explained away his choice by saying having a potbelly is better than RIP!
