Shifting Gears
ABC has greenlit the multi-camera comedy series “Shifting Gears” starring Tim Allen and Kat Dennings. The original showrunners and actor Froy Gutierrez, who were originally attached, have all exited with new showrunners being sought.
Allen plays Matt, the stubborn and widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter (Dennings) and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins. Daryl ‘Chill’ Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins and Barrett Margolis co-star. [Source: Variety]
Alien: Rogue Incursion
Survios (“Westworld: Awakening,” “Creed: Rise to Glory”) and 20th Century Games have released a new trailer for “Alien: Rogue Incursion” – a VR game PlayStation VR2, Steam, and Meta Quest 3 coming this holiday season.
Emmy Award winner Andia Winslow takes on the lead role of Zula Hendricks, a character who appeared in several of the Dark Horse Aliens comics. Players must battle Xenomorphs in the title whic his the first fully-fledged Alien VR game.
Bagman
Lionsgate has premiered the first trailer for the new horror feature from “The Girl with All the Gifts” filmmaker Colm McCarthy titled “Bagman”. Sam Claflin, Antonia Thomas and Caréll Rhoden co-star in the film which hits cinemas September 20th.
The story sees a family hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag. Claflin plays a man who narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, and now his tormentor has returned and threatens his family.
Spellbound
Netflix and Skydance Animation have released a new poster for the animated musical adventure film “Spellbound” starring Rachel Zegler and Nicole Kidman. The film opens November 22nd.
The film follows two large monsters pointing up at the stars while a human character looks along with them. Vicky Jenson directs from a screenplay by Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin, and Julia Miranda.
