The X-Men are coming to the MCU in the near future with new actors expected to take on the roles at some point.
Before that Hugh Jackman will reprise the character one last time in “Deadpool 3,” a film that’s rumored to include potential variants of the character played by other actors who may go on to the main role.
Names like Taron Egerton, Scott Eastwood and Daniel Radcliffe have popped up on superhero film message boards, forums and in social media discussions about it. However former “Harry Potter” star Radcliffe has shot down some of that speculation this week.
The Radcliffe rumor caught afire again recently following the fourth season of his series “Miracle Workers”. The actor has obviously been working out lately and, speaking as part of a lie detector interview with Vanity Fair, he says his new buffness is not for that Marvel role:
“I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to… You’ve seen my parents, they’re like insane fitness people. So that’s just been passed on. But no. No Wolverine. Flattered, but no.”
The actor is currently starring alongside Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez in “Merrily We Roll Along” on Broadway. He previously brushed off the Wolverine talk as “purely a press tour rumor” last year during a GQ interview.
