Season two of Rap Sh!t is bringing the drama. As Mia (KaMillion) and Shawna (Aida Osman) elevate in their budding career as a rap duo, the two must decide individually and collectively if they’re going to stay true to themselves or conform to the demands of the industry.
In the official trailer for the new season, which debuted on Thursday (Oct. 19), the women are seen embarking on their first tour, alongside culture vulture Reina Reign (Kat Cunnings) and her manager, Francois Boom (Jaboukie Young-White).
As Mia navigates the fast-paced life of being an artist and motherhood, Shawna is ducking federal charges with her occasional lover and literal partner-in-crime, Maurice (Daniel Augustin). Meanwhile, Boom is orchestrating a series of mind-games between them and their manager, Chastity (Jonica Booth), who has her own internal struggles to handle.

The new season of the hit dramedy, created by Issa Rae, was postponed from Aug. 10 to Nov. 9, in light of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. It will return with a special two-episode premiere.
Of the new season, showrunner Syreeta Singleton told Complex prior to the strikes, “Everything is heightened. The girls are on tour, tensions are high, and they’re quickly finding out how much they’re willing to compromise for success.”
The soundtrack for Rap Sh!t season two will debut ahead of the season premiere on Nov. 3.
Described as “a love letter to the women in rap who are changing the music world just by being themselves,” the compilation will include original music from the series’ leading ladies, Osman and Kamillion, as well as new music from Rico Nasty, Kaliii, Maiya The Don, and more.
Sexxy Red’s “No Panties” kicked off the project back in late September. Of the record, the “Pound Town” star shared in a statement, “I’m happy that I got to work on ‘No Panties’ for Rap Sh!t. It’s just me having fun on the beat and talking my s**t. It’s just like the show: the rap girls running this s**t.”
