Ray-Ban at Magnetic fields Festival 2023
One of the largest music gatherings in India, Magnetic Fields, took place at Rajasthan’s Alsisar Palace from December 15th to 17th, featuring enchanting musical acts, daring artworks, and sophisticated installations. The diverse range of music, spanning from global sensations to emerging Indian talents, kept the audience dancing nonstop. The fusion of music, immersive art displays, and modern sensory adventures ensured an unforgettable three-day celebration.
The 2023 edition of this desert rave, partnered with Ray-Ban, had a lot planned. Ray-Ban brought in a spectacular Reverse Garden installation that was created with luminous elements.
Inspired by their new timeless unisex sunglass styles presenting the brand new reversed lens, the ‘Reverse Garden’ stole the spotlight at the Ray-Ban Desert Oasis Stage. This exclusive installation depicted a garden set up with a reverse twist and trees made of the same inverted lens structure as the sunglasses. Ray-Ban curated similar experiences in Tel Aviv, London, Paris, and New York earlier this year.
The Reverse Garden had people at the festival exploring it all hours of the day, with the mirror on the trees serving as the perfect reflection for mirror selfies. No one could deny that the installation was not only beautiful but also unique.
The Ray-Ban Desert Oasis Stage on the other hand is renowned for being an edgy arena for those who thrive on the electricity of an energetic atmosphere from the get-go. Kicking off the festival on the 15th, music lovers were welcomed by the eclectic sounds of Warehouse Mix collective featuring the dynamic DJs No Mo Soul and Tartaruga.
Saturday (December 16) daytime saw the Bahrain-based duo Dar Disku – made up of Mazen Al Maskati and Vish Mhatre – bringing forth the sounds of the Middle East, followed by sonic stylings of London-based Canadian-Australian selector Jennifer Loveless.
Sunday (December 17) afternoon’s highlight was the extraordinary showcase, AAGUU Presents: Solar Spirit, featuring Rishi Sippy, TaoFu, AAGUU, and Alex Kassian, covering a wide range of sounds and styles across the electronic music spectrum – from chill-wave, downtempo to progressive house and techno with strands of disco and trance.
Over at the Ray-Ban Secret Party, festivalgoers were treated to an electrifying showcase with Numbers, a Glasgow-based record label and creative collective, celebrating their 20th anniversary of music.
Ray-Ban has a history of being an omnipresent addition to any festival look, be it at Coachella in California, All Points East in London or Les Plages Electroniques in Cannes. The release of their latest collection was highlighted with marquee events in the fashion and music arena, with prominent models and celebrities adorning Reverse eyewear at the LuisaViaRoma X British Vogue Runway Icons fashion show in Italy.
