There has been an outpour of grief, anger and reactions over the Update circulating the media about what happened at the hospital where Rico Swavey was taken to.

A Update made its way to social media yesterday following Rico’s death.

In the Update, some health officials were laughing and making videos of the deceased when he was brought in for treatment.

Another nurse was seen urging her colleagues to pay attention to the dying man. One of them refused to assist while others present were laughing behind the camera.

A nurse indicated that the deceased’s oxygen is low and needs to be attended to swiftly. However, they ignored it. The nurse said, “His oxygen is 90%. You people should stop making Update and let’s move him. Somebody is in critical condition and you’re making videos.”

In reaction to this, a few celebrities have discharged their anger on the hospital saying they deserve hell and everything beyond it.

Alex Unusual who is still grieving the loss of her friend said she hated the hospital and their staff and how they wasted the life of her friend.

Alex wrote, “My God punish these hospitals that take time to start working on people that are rushed to hospitals!!!

“I hate you all!! You are all horrible!! You’ve cause us so much pain all for what?

“What is money that you let lives go like this by stalling? I HATE YOU!!!!

“You all deserve hell fire! The hottest and most wicked corner.”

AY Makun’s wife, Mabel, described the act as foolishness. She wrote, “The foolishness of some individuals in Nigeria is appalling. How do you even remember your phone camera in a life and death situation? Bloggers are worse off must you all repost everything??”

Uti Nwachukwu reacted saying Nigeria failed Rico as always. He said the hospital needs to be held accountable for their negligence.

He wrote, “I will remember you. The min I was told, the first thing I said was – Nigeria has killed him ? My friend said – You don’t know the extent of the damage. I Said broooo!!! Nigeria has killed this young man!! ? This gentle soul wey no ever get issue with people! Always smiling and ready to be helpful! Chai!!?

Netizens also reacted to the viral Update. One person said this, “Taking a photo of a Dying patient? Those nurses and the hospital should be questioned and arrested. This is annoying.”

Another person described the act as unprofessional. “Unprofessional….we have a long wat to go… healthcare legal framework needs to be implemented in Nigerian. It’s saves lives to prioritize.”

“Kai!! We insult the government daily but just look at a fellow Nigerian, Name of hospital please? So that even to buy panadol, my descendants and I will never make the mistake of entering them!!!”

“Why is he not in an operation bed? He would have survived if it was in America. The amount of people who die in that country from negligence and incompetence is unbelievable and sad.”

“Pray not to be in a critical state health wise in this country. You’ll know how redundant the medical system here can be.”
