Apparently, there is a looming battle in the Bawumia household over who becomes First Lady in case he wins the Presidency in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
While Samira Bawumia has served as the Second Lady throughout the Vice President’s time in office, multiple reports have alleged that he has a first wife, Ramatu, who he keeps under wraps.
Bawumia has long denied having any 2nd wife but those in the know, including the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, have all confirmed he is married to Ramatu but has simply chosen Samira as his public wife.
That’s where this alleged new conflict emerges as according to a source, the family of Ramatu is placing intense pressure on Bawumia to make her his First Lady if he wins the Presidency.
Evidently, they are no more interested in playing second fiddle and has issued a stern warning to Bawumia!
Meanwhile, Samira has also allegedly sent an ultimatum to Bawumia that if she’s dethroned as the public wife, she’s leaving the marriage… for good!
This beautiful soap opera is according to a source but defenders of the Bawumias claim it’s all NDC propaganda.
