Following on from those new photos earlier this week, Marvel Studios has now debuted the official second trailer and official poster for “The Marvels” movie.
Though a direct sequel to “Captain Marvel,” the film also serves as something of a sequel to events seen in “Ms. Marvel,” “WandaVision” and “Secret Invasion” with key characters from each (Iman Vellani, Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Samuel L. Jackson) coming into play.
In the new film Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence.
But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.
This causes them to physically swap places every time they use their powers. Together, however, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe.
Director Nia DaCosta (“Candyman,” “Little Woods”) helms the film, which also stars Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Jackson.
“The Marvels” arrives in cinemas on November 10th.
