Should You Buy an Apple Watch on Amazon Prime Day 2023?

Apple Watches are one of the best options available to anyone looking for a good smartwatch. That being said, the latest Apple Watch Series 8 can be an expensive purchase for most folks. Coming in at $399 for just the standard model, these watches are one of those items you should only really buy when there’s a sale.

Fortunately, Amazon Prime Day is happening on July 11-12 this year and has traditionally been an excellent time to buy any of the best Apple Watch models for a discounted price. If you’re hoping to pick up a fancy new smartwatch this summer, next week is a great time to do so.

What Apple Watch Deals Should You Expect on Amazon Prime Day 2023?

Ever since Amazon started selling Apple Watches, the online retailer has been one of the best places to find Apple Watch deals. This is especially true during Prime Day when some of the lowest prices of the year make an appearance.

As for what discounts you can likely expect, the biggest sales will be on the Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch SE (2022). The usual price cut for the Series 8 on Amazon is about $70, dropping the cost down to $329, but we could potentially see even further discounts with the watch dropping under $300. That being said, your best bet for savings will still be the Apple Watch SE. Although it’s regularly priced at $249, Prime Day discounts will likely drop that as low as $199.

Additionally, Amazon usually offers some fairly low prices on previous renewed and refurbished Apple Watch models during their sale days. So if you don’t mind having an Apple Watch Series 6 or Series 7 that has been slightly used, you can potentially find a really great deal. There should also be a few discounts on Apple Watch bands available to go along with the watches themselves.

Do Other Retailers Have Apple Watch Deals on Prime Day?

Although Amazon Prime Day is technically an Amazon-specific event, various other online retailers have since jumped onto the savings bandwagon. Best Buy has already announced its Black Friday in July sale and Walmart will be having its Deals for Days event around the same time as Amazon Prime Day. Both of those retailers will almost certainly have Apple Watch deals as well.

When it comes to Apple products, the biggest online retailers tend to price match discounts. So if you find a deal on a smartwatch you like at Amazon, it will likely be at Best Buy and Walmart as well. So if something goes out of stock on Amazon, make sure to look elsewhere.

Should You Buy an Apple Watch on Prime Day or Black Friday?

Although Prime Day and Black Friday tend to be pretty similar in terms of tech discounts, there is one factor that could affect your decision to buy an Apple Watch now instead of in November. Currently, Apple’s latest smartwatch is the Series 8, but the company has very consistently released new models every September for years. So by the time Black Friday comes around, we may see even steeper discounts on older models.

That being said, if you’re just looking for a great price on any model of Apple Watch there’s no reason to wait for the Series 9 before you buy.

Early Prime Day Apple Watch Deals

Hoping to snag an Apple Watch discount before the Prime Day sales happen? Here are the best early Prime Day discounts right now.
