Snoop Dogg‘s daughter, Cori Broadus, has shared a positive health update after suffering a “severe stroke.” Broadus returned to Instagram on Sunday (Jan. 21) to give her friends and fans a closer look into her recovery. She also took the time to thank people who have stood by her during this challenging time in her life.
“I truly appreciate all the love and support fr,” she typed in the first post. “Again, I’m human, and I go through sh*t like everybody else, which is why I’m so open about my life because I know I feel alone but we are never alone, someone is always going through damn near the same. Still here hoping to be home soon.”
The model uploaded two more pictures from the hospital into her IG Story, flashing a thumbs up. “God is working overtime, you hear me! My kidneys were doing terrible,” she added. “Doctors came in this AM and said they are improving so much.”
On Thursday (Jan. 18), Broadus shared that she had just suffered a “severe stroke.” She snapped and shared two photos from the hospital. Cori detailed her emotional reaction to her sudden medical condition.
“I had a severe stroke this am,” she typed in the first slide. “I started breaking down crying when they told me… I’m only 24. What did I do in my past to deserve all of this?”
As previously reported, Cori Broadus was diagnosed with lupus when she was six years old. According to the Mayo Clinic, lupus is a disease that emerges when the body’s immune system begins to strike its own tissues and organs. The disease can also cause inflammation, directly affecting joints, blood cells, lungs, heart, and more.
Additionally, Lupus Corner states that “the risk of stroke is 4-times to 8-times higher in lupus patients, due to inflammation influencing the tendency of blood to clot and vasculitis stiffening the blood vessels.”
