Megan Thee Stallion is coming to a city near you. Earlier this week, the Houston rapper shared the news that she is hitting the road for the Hot Girl Summer Tour. Kicking off this May, the global trek leg features GloRilla as the opening act and has stops everywhere from Chicago and Detroit to London and Paris (find tickets here).
“HOTTIESSS GET READY TO COME HAVE SOME FUN WITH ME AT THEE HOT GIRL SUMMER TOUR Get your outfits ready nowww. We getting started this MAY I told you what cities today to get yall prepared! Check back in on thee 20th for official dates im so exciteddddd,” gleefully wrote the 29-year-old on Instagram.
The Hot Girl Summer Tour comes as Megan Thee Stallion kicks off a new era of her career. Releasing the deeply personal “Cobra” last year, she entered 2024 with attitude. Her defiant track “Hiss” became her first solo number-one on the Hot 100 earlier this year.
The achievement followed her 2020 No. 1 records, “WAP” with Cardi B and “Savage (Remix)” with Beyoncé, and put the “Cocky AF” rapper in the same company as Lauryn Hill and Nicki Minaj as the third female rapper to debut at the top of the chart.
“The main thing to say is thank you,” shared the Nike collaborator with her fans.
As her first headlining tour, the Grammy-nominated rapper has two studio albums, one compilation, three mixtapes, three EPs, and countless features and freestyles to curate her performance. Read below for which tracks and verses VIBE believes should make the cut.
“Last Week In HTX”

Released in 2017, “Last Week In HTX” introduces Megan Thee Stallion’s cocky attitude and rap skills. Detailing her humble beginnings and Houston roots, she declares “Bi**h, I’m from Texas” throughout the song. The throwback track is the perfect reminder of her come-up.
“Runnin Up Freestyle”

“How you let a broke ni**a talk you out the draws?” is a question posed by Megan Thee Stallion in “Runnin Up Freestyle,” a fun lyrical exercise boasting anime references and fiery wordplay. Initially rapped on Charlie Sloth’s Beats 1 radio show Fire in the Booth in 2019, the freestyle was included on Megan’s “Fever” mixtape that same year.
“Cocky AF”

“Cocky AF” is just that. Megan Thee Stallion raps with an undeniable confidence that is almost threatening to anyone who dares to undermine her authority. Issued in 2018, the song is one of the Houston rapper’s most underrated anthems.
“Ungrateful” Feat. Key Glock

A standout from her Traumazine album, Megan Thee Stallion and Key Glock go bar-for-bar on “Ungrateful.” The menacing track features some of Megan’s most hard-hitting rhymes and slickest disses. It would also be fun for Key Glock to pop out at the Memphis tour date.
“Do it on the Tip” Feat. City Girls

One of the most fun collaborations in Megan Thee Stallion’s catalog, “Do It On The Tip” features the City Girls and finds all three ladies whimsically rhyming their raunchiest bars. The infectious beat is perfect to get the audience on their feet with just the first verse, but a moment of rap girl unity with Yung Miami or JT joining the stage would satisfy (and surprise) us all.
“Naturally”

From her “Make It Hot” era, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Naturally” highlights not just her physical assets but her organic approach to life. The 2017 song manifests a full-circle moment for the rapper who declared herself “the black Regina George,” and six years later in 2023, she’s featured on the Mean Girls musical soundtrack.
“Savage Remix” – Feat. Beyoncé

Released in 2020, “Savage Remix” featuring Beyoncé is one of Megan Thee Stallion’s biggest career moments. While the original version scored her multiple GRAMMY Awards, the collaboration brought the two Houston representatives together for the first (and hopefully not last) time. As the rapper joined Mrs. Carter on stage during her Renaissance tour in their hometown, maybe the favor can be returned.

While having the Bronx rapper pop out at the New York show would be a welcomed surprise, Megan can spit her verse solo and take on some of the choreography with no complaints.
“Plan B”

Sampling the “Freek’n You” remix by Jodeci featuring Wu-Tang Clan, the song features the Houston rapper in her most aggressive form. “Hiss”
