Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is the epitome of Tamil film music. He has been a leading composer since the 80s. Now, the latest buzz is that Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is joining hands after Thalapathy Vijay after 23 years in ‘The Greatest Of All Time’, which is directed by Ilaiyaraaja’s nephew Venkat Prabhu.
The makers are set to shoot a new schedule of the upcoming film in Sri Lanka very soon. Meanwhile, sources tell us that Ilaiyaraaja and Vijay are singing a song together in ‘The Greatest Of All Time’. This song is said to have lyrics penned by Ilaiyaraaja’s brother and Venkat Prabhu’s father Gangai Amaran. This news is spreading like wildfire on the internet.
We have to take it with a pinch of salt until we get an official clarification on the same. Ilaiyaraaja scored music for Thalapathy Vijay in the films: ‘Rajavin Parvaiyile’ (1995), ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’ (1997), ‘Kannukkul Nilavu’ (2000) and ‘Friends’ (2001). Their combination has always been a chartbuster. This buzz has caused excitement among the fans.
