Why we like it
For anyone upgrading from a model older than the Series 7, or getting their very first Apple Watch, the Series 8 is a solid pick with most fitness features you could want, as well as fertility tracking and crash detection. It may not come in pink like the Series 9, but feature-wise you’re not getting a vastly different experience (though we do wish the Series 8 had double tap). And at $324.99, you’ll be saving 74.01.

Why we like it
For both the 40mm and 44mm configurations, you can grab the second-gen SE for $9 off. It’s not the best price ever (RIP to $30 off it was at last week), but some dollars off is better than no dollars off. For those who aren’t interested in a smartwatch with blood oxygen or ECG sensors, the second-gen SE is the best bang for your buck, providing a nearly identical experience to the Series 8 for nearly $100 less.

Why we like it
