“The Boys” Ratings Keep On Rising

Amazon Prime reports that the fourth season of “The Boys” has pulled in more than 55 million viewers globally since the season premiere on June 13th.

The figure counts 39 days of viewership up through until July 21st – three days after the finale went to air. It is reportedly a 20% gain on the third season’s audience at the comparable time – and the third-consecutive season of global viewership growth for the series.

It’s also in line with the show’s fourth-season premiere, which saw an initial 21% more viewers in its first four days of streaming than the third season – suggesting the growth came at the start of the season, and people have stuck around.

The success comes as the new season has been criticised for a quality drop, making its politics arguably too overt, and its mishandling of certain subplots.

Amazon says the new season is now Prime Video’s fourth most-viewed TV season of all time behind only “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Fallout” and “Reacher”.

The series is especially doing well overseas with 60% of viewers outside of the United States. The series has been renewed for a fifth and final season which is expected to go into production around year’s end for a 2026 airing.
