The first Monday in May has come and gone, which means it’s time to start drooling in earnest over the Met Gala 2024’s best looks. The theme this year was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” with a “Garden of Time” dress code, which celebs took in a variety of directions. There were of course plenty of florals (groundbreaking), as well as some creative funeral, nature, and Victorian-inspired ensembles.
As cochair of the event, Zendaya had an especially big night, stepping out in not one but two showstoppers. We were also pleasantly surprised by many of the gentlemen at this year’s gala, notably Barry Keoghan, Bad Bunny, and Wisdom “Best Dressed Guy on TikTok” Kaye. But if the night belonged to anyone, we really have to give it up for Loewe, which was responsible for several of the evenings best looks. Even Anna Wintour herself wore a coat designed by the Spanish fashion house.
