Basketball fans could soon get an in-depth Netflix docuseries based on some of their favorite players in the NBA. According to The Wall Street Journal and other credible sources, LeBron James, Peyton Manning, and Barack & Michelle Obama are in talks to bring the unscripted program to life.

Reportedly, James’ SpringHill Company along with Manning‘s Omaha Productions and the Obama’s Higher Ground imprint will join forces to go behind the scenes with professional basketball players —similar to the NFL Netflix series, Quarterback.

WSJ reports that the show “will likely end on Netflix,” where Higher Ground has a first-look deal. James, Manning, and The Obamas have yet to comment on the unnamed series.

Respectively, James’ SpringHill productions has inked first-look deals with Disney and Universal for scripted TV and films. The company produced the 2021 Space Jam reboot, and other media projects. Manning’s Omaha company has brought forth the Monday Night Football telecast, Manningcast with ESPN, as well as the series Peyton’s Places and Netflix’s Quarterback.

Additionally, Higher Ground has a film and TV deal with Netflix, which recently acquired Jon Batiste’s documentary, American Symphony.

Netflix has had a few successful sports documentaries, in addition to what James, Manning, and The Obamas will bring. The streaming platform has offered Drive to Survive about Formula 1 drivers, Full Swing for PGA Tour golfers and Beckham by professional soccer player David Beckham.
