‘Undead Unluck’ has got all shonen fans waiting for it since the first trailer was released. The ‘undead’ ability means that the person cannot die, cannot age, and often regenerates his organs. Andy, one of the main characters, is the undead who showed a new, perhaps overlooked side of it.
The white-haired-always-smirking man could hover around as a head and regenerate from bone to skin. He seems to propel himself by forcing blood out of his amputated limbs.
On Monday, TMS Entertainment released a second trailer for the anime ‘Undead Unluck’, showing more scenes from the anime. Recently, it was revealed that Hulu would simulcast the series when it debuts in October.

The second video shows more footage along with what was shown in the first one. It begins with someone asking what Fuuko meant when she said, “her unluck was coming.” Here, we also get to know about the Union and Negators, who, like Andy, can defy the rules of the world.
Shen Xiang and Void Volks also make an appearance. Shen’s ability wasn’t revealed fully, but a few fight scenes between Void and Andy are shown.
No further cast members have been revealed as yet, but TMS and Bang Zoom Studios are holding auditions this Tuesday for a role in the English dub of ‘Undead Unluck.’
The main staff was previously revealed in the first trailer. It marks the reunion of the team that handled ‘Fire Force’. UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is planning and producing the anime.

No wonder ‘Undead Unluck’ would be one of the most awaited anime for fall. The designs and the animation look just right. I would like to know more about negators and the Union, but this seems to be enough, as any more might spoil it before it gets out.
About Undead Unluck
Undead Unluck is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since January 2020. As of May 2023, it is collected into 16 volumes.
The story follows Fuuko Izumo who has the ability to bring bad luck to anyone she touches. Tormented by her ability, she decides to commit suicide but fate intervenes when she meets Andy, an undead person who wishes for the ‘best death.’ The pair joins the mysterious organization, Union, which consists of people like Fuuko and Andy, and go on missions given by a book called ‘Apocalypse.’
