Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets’ In-Depth Critique of Mainline Christianity’s Bad Theology Exhibited at Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023

Many books displayed at this year’s Guadalajara International Book Fair talk about major problems afflicting the world. Bible researcher and dedicated Christian Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is among them. His three-part book “on that Day” is a grave inspection of mainline American Christianity and concludes that a grave falsehood has taken root. He hopes to spread the truth about this false Gospel and encourage Christians around the world to stay on the straight and narrow path.

“This book is a fit tool for a new Reformation of bold Christian proclamation.” – W. Lee Eames Jr.

Across the numerous exhibits at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023, visitors could find many books written by authors aiming to create a strong awareness of many big ideas. They feel a call to effect a big change with their writings or at least undo the harm of certain falsehoods or myths.

Devout Christian and Bible student Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is one of them, as he had arranged an exhibit for his trilogy-in-one Bible reflection titled “on that Day:” A Trilogy. The book exhibit was made possible with the help of ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing company.

Sheets describes himself as a semi-retired businessman with a love for the Gospel, church life, and ministering to the lost. Through the years, he has met several others who have become increasingly frustrated with the direction that American mainline churches are going and how there is a sense of spiritual malaise corrupting them at their foundations.

“on that Day” is a three-part book where he explores the source of this corruption. Sheets firmly believes that a false gospel of self-entitlement and instant gratification has hijacked mainline Christianity. There is now too much certainty about one’s final salvation when he has the learned that Bible actually says the complete opposite. And thus, he dedicates the book’s message to dismantling this false Gospel while calling serious believers to accept the true Gospel of Jesus.

Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets’ “on that Day:” A Trilogy is available on the ReadersMagnet Bookstore, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

Author Bio

Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets is a seventy-six-year-old semi-retired businessman who, while never attending college, has had a reasonably successful career. He is now living at Providence Farm in Bedford County, Virginia, and presently has a beef cattle operation, raising calves for the feeder market. During discussions with a friend, a retired pastor, and a marine chaplain who has decided that he is “done with the church,” Tom was challenged to write a book. His friend understood his ongoing frustration with both the message and direction of the established church and felt that many others shared this frustration.

Tom, who has a heart for the lost within the church, believes that the church has been hijacked by the instant-gratification crowd. Thus, he felt that he was challenged to address this issue, and as a result of this challenge, The Road to Restoration, The Death of the Promise, and the Resurrection of The Promised were developed.
