Tom Brady has a blast in Italy in first public sighting since comedy roast that ‘hurt’ ex Gisele Bündchen

Tom Brady appeared to be in great spirits after he was seen for the first time following his Netflix comedy roast that “hurt” his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

The retired NFL star, 46, was in Venice, Italy, on Saturday to support his E1 boat racing team, which is set to race on Sunday.

Brady, who became a part-owner of the team last year, was recorded in an online video throwing a football across the Grand Canal.

“That’s a long way across there,” he said before throwing the ball to Team Brady pilot Emma Kimiläinen.

“That’s what’s going to happen on Sunday too,” he joked, referring to the upcoming race.

“That was awesome,” Kimiläinen, 34, reacted.

According to NBC 4, Brady joined a list of other celebrities, including Rafael Nadal, Didier Drogba and Sergio Pérez as part owners of the electric boat rowing team last year.

“I’m excited to join Rafael Nadal, Didier Drogba, and Sergio Pérez, all great athletes with the same desire to compete at the highest level and work together to help make the boating industry more sustainable, create incredible events, and especially to win,” Brady wrote in a statement at the time.

“My message to our competition: be prepared for second place because we are aiming for the top.”

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback’s appearance comes after he was roasted in the Netflix comedy special “The Roast of Tom Brady” earlier this week.

Brady fielded jokes about his football career and his recent divorce from Bündchen.

Page Six previously reported that the supermodel, 43, was left “hurt” by the show due to the comedians’ jokes about their former marriage.

Sources close to Bündchen said she was upset by the jabs because she felt Brady once again failed to prioritize their home life over his football career — a rift that eventually led to their divorce in October 2022.

A source close to the production also told Page Six that the mom of two, who has since started dating her jiu-jitsu trainer, Joaquim Valente, “needs to get a sense of humor.”

“Everything was all in good fun,” the insider shared, adding that Brady was unaware of the jokes beforehand but jokes about his children were off limits. (Brady shares son Jack, 16, with ex Bridget Moynahan and son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with Bündchen.)

“Just like with any roast, neither Tom nor any of the participants knew what was going to be said about them,” the source added.

“But as with any roast they target public parts of your life.”
