Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have released the trailer for the Liam Neeson-led action thriller “Retribution” which is slated to hit cinemas on August 25th.
In the film, a mysterious caller has put a bomb under the car of bank executive Matt Turner (Neeson) as well as framing him for the death of his best friend.
So begins a high-speed chase across the city to complete a specific series of tasks. With his kids trapped in the back seat and a bomb that will explode if they get out of the vehicle, a normal commute becomes a twisted game of life or death.
Matt must follow the stranger’s increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to save his family. Nimrod Antal (“Predators,” “Vacancy”) directs this ticking-clock thriller from a screenplay written by Christopher Salmanpour.
Matthew Modine, Noma Dumezweni, Jack Champion, Lilly Aspell, Embeth Davidtz and Arian Moayed co-star. Andrew Rona, Alex Heineman, Jaume Collet-Serra, and Juan Sola produce.
Neeson is coming off “Marlowe” and will soon appear in the Irish thriller “In the Land of Saints and Sinners,” the crime thriller “Thug,” and is currently filming the David Koepp-penned “Cold Storage” alongside “Stranger Things” alum Joe Keery.
