Travis Scott’s second planned performance in Raleigh, NC, has been postponed with no explanation, according to PNC Arena officials on Saturday.
Travis Scott’s new tour is off to a rocky start. The second of the artist’s planned performances in Raleigh, NC, on his Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour has been postponed, according to PNC Arena officials.
Scott was scheduled to perform at 8 PM on Saturday at the PNC Arena, but that afternoon, the concert was postponed with no explanation given. Organizers said they will honor tickets for the rescheduled date, which has yet to be announced.
“Tonight’s Travis Scott concert at PNC Arena has been postponed,” reads the statement posted on PNC Arena’s website. “Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for the TBD new date. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The announcement completely blindsided fans, many still en route to the venue Saturday night, unaware that they postponed the concert. Fans who showed up were told by an announcer at the venue that the Travis Scott concert was postponed due to “reasons beyond our control.”
Scott performed at PNC Arena on Friday night, with a second Raleigh show having been added to the Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour lineup due to high demand. The rapper’s social media presence has been silent about the last-minute cancellation — but that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to reach out to Scott on Instagram, to no avail.
Popular demand at several venues led to Travis Scott expanding the tour to include double performances in many of the more populous stops. The tour will see him visiting numerous cities across North America, though his hometown of Houston is glaringly absent from the itinerary. Travis’ first foray into touring the US since the Astroworld tragedy in 2021 has been met with backlash from Houston authorities, leading to the city’s omission from tour dates.
