Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, tragically lost his life on March 31, 2019, when he was shot and killed in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. The perpetrator turned out to be Eric Holder, Jr., a former affiliate of Hussle. The murder of Nipsey Hussle sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community and beyond, leaving a void in the music industry.

Eric Holder, Jr., the convicted killer of Nipsey Hussle, was sentenced to 60 years in prison in February 2023. Holder Jr. was also charged with two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm.
