Alex Rider
“Alex Rider,” the TV series based on the Anthony Horowitz novels, will end with its upcoming eight-episode third season which launches on Amazon Freevee on April 5th.
The new season will adapt the fifth novel “Scorpia” about a criminal cabal planning to extort the British Government with a new super-weapon dubbed ‘Invisible Sword’. Otto Farrant returns as Alex. [Source: Deadline]
Fallout
Amazon has released a new photo from their upcoming TV series adaptation of the “Fallout” video game series. The shot showcases The Brotherhood of Steel’s suits which look quite accurate to the game. “Fallout” is scheduled to premiere on the Prime Video service on April 12th. [Source: Total Film]
Tulsa King
Though he stepped down as showrunner of the Sylvester Stallone-starring mob drama “Tulsa King” after the first season, Terence Winter (“Boardwalk Empire”) is returning to the series for the upcoming second as writer and executive producer.
The show will not have a traditional showrunner for the second season, a new director/executive producer (whose deal is still being finalized) will take on those duties. Filming begins shortly in Atlanta for a Fall premiere, whilst the first season will air on CBS this Summer. [Source: Deadline]
Hacks
Max has released the teaser trailer for the third season of its Emmy-winning comedy series “Hacks” starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. The show will return to the streamer on May 2nd.
In the new season, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is riding high off the success of her standup special while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles. Christopher Lloyd, Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks and Tony Goldwyn guest star.
9-1-1
ABC has released the full trailer for the upcoming seventh season of Ryan Murphy’s popular procedural drama “9-1-1” starring Angela Bassett and Peter Krause.
The trailer teases Athena and Bobby’s honeymoon cruise which is hijacked by terrorists. Cancelled at Fox, the series sails to its new home at ABC on March 14th.
