TV News: Alice, Who, Obliterated, Wolf, Cry

Alice in Borderland
Netflix’s Japanese live-action series “Alice In Borderland” has been renewed for a third season. Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya are reprising their roles and the series will again be directed by Shinsuke Sato.

Based on the manga of the same name by Haro Aso, the story revolves around a group of people who are transported to a parallel universe in which they have to play and win games to remain alive. [Source: Deadline]

Doctor Who
The BBC have confirmed the upcoming “Doctor Who” 60th anniversary specials will feature the return of behind-the-scenes specials for each episode. Titled “Doctor Who: Unleashed,” these are a successor to “Doctor Who Confidential” which was a staple during the Eccleston/Tennant years.

It will feature interviews with the cast and crew, as well as footage from the episode’s production. Each installment airs on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer following each anniversary special. [Source: Instagram]

Obliterated
Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the action-comedy series “Obliterated” which hails from “Cobra Kai” creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. The series debuts on Netflix on November 30th.

The story follows an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. Still heavily intoxicated the next morning from their celebratory party, the team learns the bomb they deactivated was a fake and the real one is will go off in mere hours. Shelley Hennig, Nick Zano, C. Thomas Howell, Kimi Rutledge, Paola Lázaro star.

Wolf Like Me
Peacock has released the trailer for the second season of Abe Forsythe’s genre-bending romance werewolf comedy series “Wolf Like Me” starring Josh Gad and Isla Fisher. Edgar Ramirez joins the cast for the second season.

Mary and Gary leap into the next phase of their relationship, facing their biggest challenge yet: pregnancy. As much as the two try to have a ‘normal’ pregnancy, it seems impossible, with so many questions looming over them. All episodes will be available on October 19th.

Devil May Cry
Netflix has released a super brief teaser for their planned “Devil May Cry” anime adaptation based on Hideki Kamiya’s Capcom action game. Capcom, Studio Mir and “Castlevania” producer Adi Shankar are behind the eight-episode series.

The story follows Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire who finds himself facing off against sinister forces working to open the portal between human and demon realms.
