Dexter: Original Sin
Paramount+ with Showtime has unveiled first-look images for “Dexter: Original Sin,” the new prequel series starring Patrick Gibson as a younger version of Michael C. Hall’s serial killer/police blood analyst Dexter Morgan.
The series unfolds in 1991 Miami, 15 years before the events of the original series which ran for eight seasons through 2013. The ten-episode series also stars Christian Slater, Molly Brown, Patrick Dempsey, Christina Milian and guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar. [Source: Variety]
Bedrock
FOX has scrapped plans for its “The Flintstones” adult-oriented animated sequel series “Bedrock” with the project no longer in development. The network is reportedly open to redeveloping the project at a later date.
The series was to unfold twenty years later, as the Stone Age gives way to the enlightened new Bronze Age. Fred is on the brink of retirement and twentysomething Pebbles is embarking on her own career. Stephen Root, Amy Sedaris, Nicole Byer, Joe Lo Truglio, Elizabeth Banks and Manny Jacinto were to voice th cast. [Source: TV Line]
Cobra Kai
With the first part of the sixth and final season now out, Netflix has confirmed that the second part is now coming two weeks sooner and will arrive on the streamer November 15th.
The final season has been split into three parts of five episode each. The third part is expected to air in early 2025 ahead of a new “The Karate Kid” movie hitting cinemas next Summer. [Source: Netflix]
Superman & Lois
The CW has released a new poster for the fourth and final season of “Superman & Lois” ahead of the first trailer for the final run arriving tomorrow. The new season of the Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch-led series is set to premiere on October 17th.
