Suits: LA
NBC has handed out a series order for the Stephen Amell-led “Suits” spin-off series “Suits: L.A.”. The project scored a pilot order in February with Victoria Mahoney helming the episode which was shot in Vancouver in the Spring.
Amell plays Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Troy Winbush, Alice Lee, Bryan Greenberg, John Amos, Victoria Justice and Kevin Weisman co-star. [Source: NBC]
Tell Me Lies
Hulu has finally announced a September 4th premiere date for the second season of romance drama series “Tell Me Lies” starring Grace Van Patten and Jackson White.
Former “Lucifer” star Tom Ellis joins in a series regular capacity as Oliver. In the new season, Lucy and Stephen return to college, not speaking after their dramatic breakup at the start of the summer. [Source: Hulu]
The Boys
Karl Urban has confirmed in an Instagram post that Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys” won’t be returning for its fifth and final season until 2026.
The final run of the series is expected to commence filming in mid-November and so will be shot throughout the first half of 2025. [Source: Instagram]
Bel-Air
Peacock has premiered the trailer for the third season of “Bel-Air” with the first three episodes kicking off the new run on August 15th. The preview includes an appearance from actor Joseph Marcell who played Geoffrey the butler in the original “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” sitcom.
In the new season, school’s out for the summer, and Will is doing Bel-Air his way. Will now has options to lean into other things that excite him and has the privilege to dream bigger.
Batman: Caped Crusader
Amazon Prime Video has released a new poster for the upcoming animated series “Batman: Caped Crusader” which launches with all ten episodes on August 1st. Bruce Timm, Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams executive produce.
The artwork includes silhouettes from the character’s rogues gallery, including Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Penguin, Two-Face, and more. The reimagining of the Batman mythology takes place in a 1940s world and is a spiritual successor to the 1990s “Batman: The Animated Series”.
