Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and director Shankar have reunited for ‘Indian 2,’ the highly anticipated sequel to their 1996 vigilante blockbuster. The film hit theatres last Friday and, despite receiving mixed reviews, performed exceptionally well at the box office during its opening weekend.
According to the latest reports, ‘Indian 2’ has grossed over 100 crores in just three days, making it the fastest Tamil film to enter the 100 crore club in 2024. However, the film experienced a significant drop in collections on Monday. It remains to be seen if ‘Indian 2’ will earn the blockbuster tag. This news has been creating a buzz on the internet today. In response to the mixed reviews, the movie team has trimmed 20 minutes from the film.
