Singer-songwriter Dido signs a new deal with Warner Chappell Music, covering her music catalog and future releases.
Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has signed a new deal with singer-songwriter Dido, covering her music catalog and future releases.
Dido began writing and recording music in the 1990s, launching into worldwide recognition with her debut album, No Angel. Featuring the hit singles “Here With Me” and “Thank You,” the album sold over 20 million copies worldwide. It also became the second highest selling album of the 2000s in the UK, topping the charts in markets including Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, New Zealand, and Norway, as well as reaching the Top 5 in the US.
In 2003, Dido released her follow-up album, Life For Rent, which sold over 12 million copies worldwide and became the fourth biggest selling global album of the year. The album contained the hit singles “White Flag” and “Life For Rent,” topping the charts in Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and several of the same countries as her debut album. It also charted in the Top 5 in the US.
She went on to release her third album, Safe Trip, in 2008, and received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for her duet with A.R. Rahman, “If I Rise.” Her fourth album, Girl Who Got Away, charted at No. 5 in the UK and landed in the Top 10 in several European markets. In 2019, she released her fifth album, Still On My Mind, which reached No. 3 in the UK and the Top 10 across Europe.
Dido has co-written and provided vocals for several songs by the band Faithless, which she co-founded with her brother Rollo. She has also written for several artists, including Britney Spears and Rihanna.

Among her many accolades, Dido received the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection in 2019, Songwriter of the Year in 2002, and International Hit of the Year for “White Flag” in 2004. She has also won four BRIT Awards, three World Music Awards, and nominated for two Grammy Awards.
