The addition of Fortnite Festival in the current chapter feels like a breath of fresh air, giving players the chance to experience Guitar Hero-inspired jamming sessions with friends using different instruments. As if being in a real band, you get to choose your own song, instrument, as well as the difficulty before making an epic entrance on the stage.
While there’s a wide range of instruments to choose from, if you’re new to playing a rhythm game like this, you may be wondering which one is the easiest to pick up. After all, it’s not a secret that some instruments are harder to play than others, especially on certain songs that are upbeat.
In this guide, we’ll cover the easiest instrument in Fortnite Festival and everything else you need to know about this game mode.
All Instruments in Fortnite Festival

As of now, there are five different instruments that are available in the Fortnite Festival game mode. They are as follows:
Guitar (Lead)
Bass
Drums
Microphone (Vocal)
Keytar
One thing to keep in mind, out of all these instruments, the Keytar is the only one that’s song dependent, so you won’t always see it in every song. It’s likely that more songs that involve the Keytar will be added in the future.

The Easiest Instrument in Fortnite Festival
So, which instrument is the easiest to play in Fortnite Festival? Arguably, the bass has one of the easiest patterns to play and remember. It’s similar to the drums but with lesser and longer notes, meaning that they’re generally hard to miss.

Even in the hard difficulty, some of the notes in certain songs for the bass still have spaces between each other, whereas if you’re playing drums, you’ll barely be able to rest your fingers as most of the time there are barely any gaps between notes.
It’s a similar case with the microphone or vocals. In some songs where the portion of instruments is bigger, the vocal notes aren’t too demanding. It’s a different story when you’re playing a song that has a lot of rap in it though.
All in all, if you’re considering playing Fortnite Festival for the first time, the bass is worth trying. Just don’t forget to activate your Override to rack extra points when you’re playing.
