Reportedly arrested in Romania over the weekend following marijuana consumption during a music festival performance is Wiz Khalifa.
On Saturday the rapper on stage at the Beach Please! Festival in Romania. Onstage during his set, social media footage reveals him smoking.
Attending a music event with cannabis reportedly resulted in a charge of “illegal possession of high-risk drugs” according to a law enforcement press release.
“During a recital held at a music festival in CostineÈ™ti resort, ConstanÈ›a county, the individual possessed over 18 grams of cannabis and consumed another amount onstage in the form of an artistic cigarette,” the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism said.
Festival footage also shows the “Black and Yellow” rapper being led by police following his performance.
On Sunday, Khalifa seemed to allude to his arrest on social media. ” The concert last night was fantastic. He said, not intending any disrespect toward Romania by lighting up on stage. “They let me leave and were really courteous. I shall be returning not too far off. But without a sizable joint the next time.
Based on his official website, the Grammy-nominated rapper is set to play next at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas on August 30.
