Since the dawn of time, or at least the dawn of glossy fashion magazines, Calvin Klein ads have been synonymous with stripped-down sexuality and not-so-subtle boundary-pushing.
And the latest incarnation of Calvin Klein ads feels as familiar as an old pair of jeans yet oh so 2023—in a good way. Think ripped abs and popping quads, only this time on female athletes instead of male pop stars. Alex Morgan and other 2023 Women’s World Cup superstars are the latest celebs to slip into nothing but cotton underwear and denim for their own play on the “Calvins or Nothing” concept.
Other famous footballers featured in the campaign, shot by photographer Brianna Capozzi, include U.K. star Chloe Kelly, Japan’s Mana Iwabuchi, France’s Kenza Dali, and Mary Fowler of Team Australia. The collection of black-and-white close-up and full-body portraits “highlight each woman in an intimate setting designed to reveal their confidence and sensuality,” in the words of the fashion brand.
