Xenonauts Ups the Ante
Waging a war of resistance against an alien foe isn’t easy. Especially when the Earth hangs in the balance. Luckily, there have been some new advancements that are likely to make a difference in the good fight. However, the aliens have brought some new tech themselves so be ready. Today, Hooded Horse is happy to announce the latest major update for their strategy game, Xenonauts 2. The update, titled “Milestone Update 2” is introducing a host of new content to the game. For instance, players can expect reworked air combat, new infantry variants, a new UFO, and more.
Xenonauts 2 places players in control of a multination military conglomerate. Importantly, this organization is tasked with defeating an alien invasion of Earth. Striking from the shadows, players must order their forces to engage with the alien’s own where they can, slowly retaking the planet as they wage war. Of course, players will be responsible for every operation. For instance, training soldiers, arming your forces, and giving them commands all fall under player responsibility.
Of course the new update, the Milestone 2 update, is bringing even more to the war for Earth. Importantly, the update is unleashing five new types of tactical missions including Convoy Ambush, Rescue VIP, and two based around story missions. Additionally, players can look forward to various improvements to A.I, to different mechanics such as engineering, and of course bug fixes and balances changes.
Xenonauts 2 is available in early access for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
