Youth leaders halt construction of brothel in Bayelsa community

The youth leaders of Okutukutu community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have stopped the ongoing construction of a brothel in their area. 

The youth president, Kester Wilcox, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Saturday, January 27, 2024, said if the brothel is built in the community, young girls would be initiated into prostitution. 

He also issued stern warning to people involved in cultism and sale of illicit drugs in the community. 

According to Mr. Wilcox, anyone seen moving around the village at midnight without proper explanation will be treated as a thief. 

“Today the leadership of Okutukutu Youth Movement (OYM)led by my humble self, Kester Wilcox went out with some well meaning youths of Okutukutu community both indigenes and none to make proclamation and sensitization,” he wrote.
