We test a lot of vacuums here at WIRED. We test a ton of Dyson vacuums, specifically. We try every other cordless vacuum we can get our hands on. And we’ve got a dedicated guide just for the robot vacuums that do your cleaning for you. So when a good vacuum deal comes along—and Cyber Monday has brought a few great ones—we know it when we see it.

Our Favorite Vacuum Deals

The Roborock Q5 Pro+ (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the top pick in our Best Robot Vacuums guide. It has a generous docking station that can empty the bin inside the robot so you don’t have to empty it every single time it runs. The dustbin is 770 milliliters, which is pretty substantial compared to the 470 ml of its predecessor.
For navigation, the bot uses lidar detection. In our testing, we found it was exceptional at avoiding stairs, obstacles, and pets. WIRED editor Adrienne So has found it to be one of the most reliable cleaning companions she has. It makes quick work of cleaning a large house, doesn’t get stuck, and even remembers multiple map layouts for different floors of your home.
The Roborock S8 Pro just narrowly avoided making one of our top picks. It has a massive docking station that empties the dust canister, cleans the mop, and refills the bot’s water tank. It uses lidar for mapping and object detection, and it can vacuum and mop your floors. The only problem we had with it is its high price, but this deal knocks several hundred dollars off, so it’s worth a closer look.

The first time you use a stick vacuum, it’ll change your life. Short of having a little robot buddy to do all your vacuuming for you, there’s no better way we’ve found to clean. The Dyson V8 Origin is designed to be pared down and have fewer attachments, though in our testing this isn’t a dealbreaker for a lot of common household cleaning.
Dysons can be fairly expensive, but this sale brings it down to a much more accessible entry point. We wouldn’t recommend it if you have a large home with lots of rooms you need to clean often—the 40-minute battery life can feel really constricting—but for smaller homes or apartments, it’s one of our favorites.
The Dyson V12 Detect Slim (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is our top Dyson pick for anyone living in smaller homes. It comes with an LCD screen that lets you switch between cleaning modes and see how much battery life you have left. In our experience, that battery indicator came in handy while cleaning.
It comes with a variety of attachments for getting all the nooks and crannies in your home—which is helpful because when you have to make the most of a small space, nooks are kinda all you have—one of which is the Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head that shoots out a green light to help you see the dust you need to clean.
