Over the years, the Pretty Little Liars franchise has engrossed fans with complex secrets, murders and shocking reveals.

The original teen drama, which aired from 2010 to 2017, followed a group of teens being tormented by an anonymous person known as A. Based on the books written by Sara Shepard, the Freeform series quickly garnered enough interest to earn several spinoff shows, including the short-lived Ravenswood and The Perfectionists.

In July 2022, a new iteration explored a friend group trying to track down why a stalker was suddenly obsessed with each of them in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.

The HBO Max series, which was created by Riverdale‘s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Lindsay Calhoon Bring, introduced viewers to Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Zaria and Malia Pyles as the main characters.

Bring promised that fans of the OG series would see callbacks to PLL in the reboot. “I’d be remiss to say to not pay attention to our horror eggs and our original PLL Easter eggs,” the screenwriter explained to Entertainment Tonight that same month. “If you’re a fan of the original PLL, I think you will and hope you will love the Easter eggs that really kind of start in earnest about halfway through and push on to the end.”

The Open Adoption

During the season 1 finale, Imogen reveals to Tabby that she is planning to give her newborn away to a couple in Rosewood. According to the high school student, her daughter will be adopted by Aria and Ezra — who have wanted to have a child for a while and are interested in an open adoption.

The second season, however, revealed that Imogen walked back her decision because Ezra gave off “weird vibes.”

The Pill Bottle

Before Noa turns her mother in for stealing pills from work, the track star finds a bottle in Marjorie’s bag. The prescription is made out to Caleb Rivers (Tyler Blackburn), who played an important role in helping Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and her friends track down A in Pretty Little Liars.

Radley Sanitarium

While looking for answers about Angela Waters (Gabriella Pizzolo), Imogen and Tabby learn more about her past from a former classmate. Crazy Joe reveals that Angela’s mother, who was her only remaining family, was sent to Radley following an emotional breakdown.

The duo visits Radley, which has now been turned into a hotel, where they meet with Eddie Lamb. Although the orderly doesn’t know where Rose Waters went after the asylum was shut down, he does tell Imogen and Tabby that Angela was raped right before she died by suicide.

Fans of Pretty Little Liars may remember Eddie from Radley during Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) and Mona Vanderwaal’s (Janel Parrish) respective stays. He was also evidently not a fan of Wren Kingston (Julian Morris).
