Amazon Prime Video has revealed a new docuseries featuring Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and friends as they build a honky-tonk in Nashville. The show premieres March 7.
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood embark on their most personal journey yet to build the honky-tonk of their dreams in the heart of Nashville. Paying tribute to his roots, Garth enlists the help of his friends, day-one tour team, and an all-star hospitality group to open the epic, four-story bar on Lower Broadway.
“This was so much more than I bargained for! With that said, what we have built is far more than just a business,” said Garth Brooks. “This is by far, the craziest ride I have ever been on.”
“We started down this road fueled by passion, dedication, and a shared vision,” says Trisha Yearwood. “I’m really proud of the team that has built the Friends Bar and Honky-Tonk. We are excited to share the culmination of everyone’s efforts. It’s even bigger than we dreamed!”
‘Friends In Low Places’ is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Casey Patterson Entertainment. Garth Brooks, Casey Patterson, and Carol Donovan serve as executive producers on the series. The new show deepens Amazon’s relationship with Garth Brooks, whose catalog is only available to stream on Amazon Music.
Of course, Garth Brooks isn’t the only mega-country star opening a new honky-tonk in Nashville. Morgan Wallen announced earlier this month that he will open a six-story venue called ‘This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen’ to celebrate his roots in eastern Tennessee. Wallen partnered with TC Restaurant Group to help bring that vision to life—while serving as a great place to pick up Morgan Wallen merch for fans.
The 30,000 square feet venue is still under construction and will feature three live music stages, six bars, and an open-air rooftop. TC Restaurant Group manages several restaurants in the area including Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, FGL Hose, Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa, Tequila Cowboy and WannB’s.
