“Where and when is Mincha?”
The question about the Jewish afternoon prayer services was posted in a Whatsapp group created by Jews attending Turning Point USA’s annual America Fest convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
Discussion in the group led to multiple kosher meals together including kosher pizza being delivered to the convention floor. There was even discussion about trying to borrow a Torah from a local synagogue for morning services.
Had Rolling Stone magazine sent a reporter to cover the event, they might have seen a traditional Friday night Sabbath dinner, hosted by TPUSA and attended by founder Charlie Kirk and Jack Posobiec.
They would have seen the results of that WhatsApp question, afternoon prayers on the convention floor.
While interviewing convention speakers, they would have seen a Jewish radio host Ari Hoffman wearing a yarmulka emblazoned with his radio station’s logo.
They would have seen red hats brandished with the name “Trump” and the Jewish year for the 2024 elections.
Perhaps Rolling Stone was worried that their readers might hear about the booth Israel 365 had at the convention, a group that grows ties between Christians and Jews, or learn about Rabbi Pesach Wolicki being interviewed about Israel on Steve Bannon’s War Room.
The far-left outlet preferred to slam convention speakers like Roseanne Barr for previous statements taken out of context, instead of covering that she told Jewish attendees that she wanted to move to Israel.
Rolling Stone likely wrote the article before the convention even began which is why they missed Jewish radio host and author Dennis Prager speaking about Israel and the far left’s support of Hamas terrorists during the finale of the event.
According to the outlet, “TPUSA’s spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment from Rolling Stone about the pronounced strain of antisemitism in AmericaFest’s speaker lineup.”
TPUSA should not respond. Their actions speak for themselves. Too bad no one from Rolling Stone was there to see them.
Given the far-left outlet’s newly found interest in combatting antisemitism, I am sure that they will write a similarly passionate piece about the progressive Jew haters who will likely be at the next pro-Hamas rally near them including Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressly, Jamaal Bowman and Pramila Jayapal.
