A mob of people attending a pro-Hamas rally in London were seen chasing down a person who was carrying an Israeli flag in Whitehall. Police ultimately intervened and stopped the chase.
At the same protest, it was reported that people had also tried to tear down an Iranian display that expressed support for Israel, the UK and Ukraine. The protest saw a large showing, with the number of attendees estimated to be in the tens of thousands.
The Post Millennial’s Andy Ngo shared numerous clips from the demonstration, and said that the protestors labeled the dissident Iranians as “terrorists,” with one shouting “Khomeini akbar.”
In another notable moment, attendees of the rally chanted, “Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews, the army of Mohammed will return,” in Arabic.
All of Whitehall Street was closed down for the protest, with police blocking access to the Israeli embassy.
Some demonstrators were seen with signs linking leftist movements with the conflict in Gaza. “LGBT STANDS WITH PALESTINE,” read one of the displays.
One man was allegedly arrested by UK police over waving the nation’s flag at the rally.
Chants of “take the flag down,” could be heard during the event.
In other footage, pro-Hamas protestors can be seen engaging in physical altercations with police. It is unknown if they were arrested at this time.
Among the attendees a was person flying a black flag with the Islamic creed, as well as numerous far-left activists who participated in large numbers, and even brought recruiting booths to sign people up for their causes.
These protests come after Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel, with at least 1,300 people from the nation being killed on the Israeli side, the majority of which are civilians, the Associated Press reports.
Among the attacks was the crashing of a music festival during which Hamas terrorists killed large numbers of people and abducted others.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war following the attacks, and has authorized the Israeli Defense Forces to deploy “wherever it sees a threat to the country of Israel,” be it on air, land or sea.
He additionally warned residents in the crowded Gaza territory of 2.3 million people to flee the area due to anticipated warfare between IDF soldiers and Hamas militants.
