Caitlin Clark had a largely miserable first three quarters in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Good thing there was a fourth.
Clark scored 10 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Indiana Fever to an 81-74 win over the Lynx. Indiana outscored Minnesota 28-14 in the fourth, with Clark putting on a stellar offensive display to lead the charge.

Heavens! @HeavensFX
In the last 8 days, Caitlin Clark & the Indiana Fever have beaten 3 teams with 7 Team USA players and the Olympic coach
Bob Kravitz @bkravitz
When they named the Olympic team, I could accept the argument that Caitlin Clark wasn’t among the 12 best WNBA players. It was arguable, right? But at this point, she’s definitely top 12, top 10, even better than that.

Caitlin Clark clapping IN Minnesota and asking the road Fever fans to make MORE noise as they’re winning in the closing seconds …
… direct shot at dopey Lynx coach who snubbed Clark from Olympic team AND made dumb comment about Fever today

Caitlin Clark overtakes Sue Bird for Most Assists by a Rookie since 2000, after 6 assists today, currently at 194.
She needs another 22 to become the leader in Most Assists as a rookie. Fever have 15 games left in the season.

Man, Caitlin Clark is a marvelous basketball player
The Fever have won three of their last four games and are 10-6 since their ugly 1-8 start to the season.
Clark finding herself on the floor has been the main catalyst for the turnaround. The No. 1 overall pick came into Sunday with five straight double-doubles, establishing herself as arguably the best passer in the WNBA in her rookie season.
Clark finished with just six assists on Sunday—her lowest total in nearly a month—but her will to win came through in the fourth as a scorer. We’re still yet to see Clark find herself into consistent 25-point territory the way she was at Iowa, but her growth already in her rookie campaign has been considerable.
The Fever travel to Dallas to play the Wings on Wednesday in their final game before the WNBA All-Star/Olympic break gets underway.
